Jet, the one thing that I can tell you about this, from working in the industry. You do not want to film through acrylic. You get a distorted wavy look. If you want I can give you 1/4" glass that will work great as a front lense. You just need to tell me what size? I saw at NJNam 2 years ago, someone built a wooden box with an old marker gripframe attached to the bottom. the back was open and the front had acrylic to shoot through. It worked, but I saw the video he posted after on pyros site, and it was very distorted.

Cartman tried to make one I think... I actually made mine outta some thin wood, an acrylic top and back, and the glass lens cover. Scooter is right about using glass to film through. I used the acrylic top and back so that I could see what the buttons and the monitor. I will dig it up and post some pics when I find it.

Jincay has the Sony underwater box for his video camera and it works VERY well. All the funciton buttons are available and with the swing out mirror on the side you can easily see what you are filming at all time.
Ask him about his, I am sure he will discuss.

One of the guys down here video tapes the games. Some jagoffs at the last game thought it was cool to shoot the camera. He is looking for a case. I'm passing the info here off to him.
